If you must have another birthday, Scottsdale is the best place to go! I did what I do best, sit at a pool and read magazines, and Billy did what he does best, golfing!! We stayed at the Westin Kierland Resort as it is convenient to shopping and the "new" Scottsdale!
The picture on the left is in front of the Westin Kierland and the middle picture is of Billy and me in downtown Scottsdale. From almost anyplace in Phoenix and Scottsdale, you can see Camelback Mountain (picture on far right). It is called this since it looks like a camel laying down!
In the resort, they had a library..... I am not sure how much Billy is really getting out of that book (can you tell why?) and I am pondering something! Did you know I am no longer a 'tree hugger?' Nope, I am a cactus hugger now!!! He, he, he! :-)
Billy played golf at the TPC at Scottsdale, home of the FBR Open on the Stadium Course. He shot a 79!!
What do Billy and Phil Mickelson have in common? They have used the same locker. Billy also played at the Westin Kierland course where he shot a 75. Not bad considering he hadn't played golf in a month!!
These are pictures outside of our room at sunset. We had a gorgeous view from our balcony. The picture in the middle is where I went running each day. I left the resort by 6:30 AM each day and by that time it was already 98 degrees!! Yikes!!
Each night at sunset, they have s'mores at the open fire pit while a bagpipe player plays. We had fabulous dinners at The Greene House and Roy's where I had my favorite Aloha Roll, all courtesy of my work S.T.A.R. program!

Just like Kate Beckinsale, I also had an In-N-Out burger on my birthday!!! I love their cheeseburgers and French fries. Each morning after my run, I sat outside near the fountain and looked out to the golf course while eating my croissant..... Just practicing for Paris!
This was an absolutely fabulous trip and definitely just what the Doctor ordered..... a relaxing getaway!
