Austin Half Marathon

I know this will come to a complete shock for all of those that know me.  BUT, I have never 'officially' run a half marathon.  Sure, I have run them easily several hundreds of times (with more miles on top of it) while training for marathons.  So, I decided to run an 'official' half marathon.  Check out the pictures and my cheerleaders below!

At the start, they had fireworks.  They found me as I passed them for the start!

Here I am at the half way point.  For distances over 8 miles, I run with Gummy Bears as I can't stomach GU.  Well, I forgot them!  Bailey had some Altoid Rasberry Sours and I am running toward her for some!!!  I kept looking for them further along the route, but I never got any more until the finish.  I am still freezing!  My t-shirt stayed on right up until mile 10!

These are the signs Bailey made for me!  We stayed on the club floor of the Hilton and it was so nice to get back and get a warm breakfast after running in the cold!!!  In the last picture, Bailey is trying to predict which elevator will come first!
