Thanksgiving 2004

Karen and Billy demonstrated their excellent culinary skills. Below is what we ate:
Appetizers: Baked Brie with cranberries, cream cheese with a raspberry chipotle sauce, feta stuffed olives, various crackers and bread.
First Course: Shrimp Bisque
Second Course: Spinach salad, bleu cheese, apple slices, toasted walnuts and balsamic vinaigrette dressing
Main Course: Turkey(brined for 24 hours), ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, baked acorn squash, sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green beans almandine, focaccia stuffing and carrots.
Dessert: Pumpkin pie, pecan pie, yellow cake and chocolate frosting, homemade chocolate fudge and apple pie.
As you can tell, we had plenty of food. Not only was the food good, but we were thankful to have our family with us. This year, we have many things to be thankful for; however, the year is not over and there are many more wonderful things to come!!
Appetizers and our next project - get the floral off the walls!

Desserts - All other courses were formally served, but desserts and appetizers were at a leisurely pace. You know, for those like me that ate so much at the other courses!
