Thanksgiving 2005
We had a great "French" themed Thanksgiving dinner this year! We paid tribute to the "Premeaux" and "Pitre" family names.
We were so full that we skipped the cheese course (homemade French bread as I am really getting into the bread baking with brie and goat cheese)!
Appetizers: Smoked Salmon, Quiche, Mushroom turnovers, Brie and Spray Cheese
Soup: Shrimp Bisque and for the kids ABCs and 123s or as Bailey said.... Bisque with letters
Salad: Pecan crusted goat cheese with a spinach salad and smiley face "French" fries (kids)
Main Course: Turkey (brined for 24 hours), Ham, Mashed Potatoes, Vegetable Gratin, Sautéed Mushrooms, Macaroni and Cheese, Cornbread Dressing and rolls
Dessert: Crème Brule, Chocolate Mousse, Apple Tart, Ice Cream "Thursdays" and Pecan Pie
If you could answer the following questions right, Bailey would give you decorated sugar cookies (see picture on bottom): x + x=46 x= __ "Knives and _______ on the right."

Torching the Crème Brule

I had never made chocolate mouse from scratch before, but it was great! Other desserts included cookies, brownies, Crème Brule, fudge, pecan pie, apple tart and ice cream 'Thursdays.'

Dallas time!

Even Amber had to have a nap!!!

Bailey's decorated Christmas sugar cookies!!
