Whistler 2007, Family Ski Trip (click on any picture to see it larger)
It felt as if we were just in Whistler not even two weeks ago for our anniversary. Oh wait, it had only been two weeks that we were here! We went back for a family ski trip, this time. On this trip, we went skiing (of course), to the tube park and on a zip line adventure! Check out all of our fun.
We stayed at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler and had one of the few rooms with a balcony view of the mountains.
There was definitely not a shortfall of snow at Whistler! These pictures were taken from our balcony.
Here is our princess getting her skis on for the first day of ski school and meeting her teacher from New Zealand.
Billy and I are having a great first day of skiing. As you can tell, there is hardly anyone on the mountain. We missed the rush by coming after Christmas and New Year's Day, just like our previous trip which was before Christmas!
These pictures were taken at the top of the mountain and it was FREEZING with the wind blowing fiercely. Look at the Canadian flag picture. When you click on the picture, it shows the icicles are sideways given how strong the wind is blowing up here.
Bailey and her ski class. Click on the second picture to see Bailey's ski adventure - she produced this film herself! :-)
Nothing signals the end of skiing like a rest at the mountain base and a snow ball fight!
The view was beautiful as we walked to catch a gondola for the Coca-Cola Tube Park adventure!!
Click on the last picture to see the video with all of us going down together!
The day started out with a snowball fight before heading off to ski school. Where in the world is Bailey (second picture)?
Check out all of that snow! Billy and I were skiing and not even 5 minutes before said, "I wonder where Bailey is skiing right now?" As we came down one black run we looked up and there she was with her ski school going down a blue run. Afterwards, it was family ski time.
I think Bailey likes the draw function on my new camera! :-) It snowed 9" that afternoon/evening!!!!!
This was the practice run they took us on before going down the 'real' zip line adventure. Yes, I am holding my breath (as usual) in the 3rd picture.
Do we look ready? We sure are high in the sky!
For our last day of skiing, we had a family ski day! Here we are at the top of the mountain.
We took Merlin's Trail to the castle adventure. Just like last time, it was a lot of fun!! Can you see Bailey and me? Me sliding down the hidden slide.
Those were some pretty amazing snow angels! Afterwards, she buried herself in the snow.
